....I got some friends that I could go to working for.
Still I wish you'd change your mind
If I ask you one more time
But we've been through this a hundred times or more.
Chorus: Four strong winds that blow lonely
Seven seas that run high
All those things that don't change come what may.
If all the good times are all gone
Then I'm bound for movin' on
I'll look for you if I'm ever back this way.
If I get there before the snow flies
And if things are lookin' good
You could meet me if I send you down the fare.
But, by then it would be winter
Not too much for you to do
And those winds sure can blow cold 'way out there.
Chorus: Four strong winds that blow lonely
Seven seas that run high
All those things that don't change come what may.
If all the good times are all gone
Then I'm bound for movin' on
I'll look for you if I'm ever back this way.
Four Strong Winds, Ian Tyson
It's time for slick little Miss Amyto start growing her Yak Koat (here modeled during her chubby first winter). She is headed for the frozen Northland.
Amy (Amber Arabesque) has been sold to the WF Bar Ranch in Alberta, Canada! She will be the first champagne mare in their broodmare band, after finishing her saddle training this winter or next spring. We wish her warmth and a happy life, and can't wait to see her babies in a few years!

Ahhhhhh...one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite artists.
ReplyDeleteOf course, we won't talk about the several dumps of snow that Alberta has already experienced this year - so much for weather being "good there in the fall" LOL
The perfect farewell song. Welcome to Alberta, sweet Amy!
